Useful information for your trip

Ok, so you just arrived to Rome and you wonder about transport, where to buy bus tickets, etc. Here is a little guide with tips.

Arriving from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

There are good connections from both airports. If you are in a hurry we recommend you take a cab, the ones outside the arrivals area are the ones that have the special fare from / to the airports. Prices vary from 30-50euro, but this is depending on how much baggage you have, each large bag has a supplement. It will take 20-30 minutes to reach the apartments. The other option if you have lots of time to use is to take local transport, but as you just arrived to Rome this can be quite complicated as there are several bus changes and there is no space to carry lots of luggage. We do not recommend it.

Please check taxi fares at the official Fiumicino airport website, click here.

Taxi fares from Ciampino airport here.

Once in Rome...

You will get acquainted with local transport. To do this you need your departure and arrival address and Atac's website. From there you can plan your trip within Rome. Please notice that there are no bus timetables in Rome (yes it's simply incredible) and as incredible as it may seem, buses do arrive with a "certain" frecuency. You will just have to stand at the bus stop and wait. Check your route here.

If you want to check train routes, check Trenitalia website here.
