Tour 2: Rome and the Vatican (half day tour - 4 hours)This tour covers history of Catholic church. You will visit San Peters‘ church - the biggest church in the word – with its masterpieces cupola and Pieta of Michelangelo. You will continue walking along via della Conciliazione – an ancient path that people took to reach the grave of San Peter – till you reach the Tevere river. Walking around Castel San Angelo you will hear about all different purposes it had during it‘s almost 2000 years history. You will cross ponte Sant Angelo – one of the oldest bridges in Rome -with its splendid sculptures made by Bernini. Entering medieval streets of Rome you will reach beautiful piazza Navona built on ancient stadium of Domitian which was Rome‘s market place for more than 400 years. You won‘t miss the famous fountain of the square – Fontana di Quattro Fiumi. Tour 3: Classical Rome (half day tour - 4 hours)During this tour you will learn about history and daily life of citizens of 1000 years Roman empire. You will visit church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin and see the Bocca dela Verita – the mouth of truth. You will visit church of San Nicola in Carcere built on ruins of Forum Holitorium and its temples. You will reach Largo Argentina with its archeological site of ruins of four ancient temples and find what it has common with city of Strasbourg.
